Past six and counting I hear

the blaring clamor of wolves

Amidst the green grass I sense life.

The colonnade, my numb witness of

sordid embryo concepts.

 

Digesting to what mortality is all about

Masked psychotic from a distance

The brazen prostitute with a heart of gold

Closer now,

Gaze upon a denizen of the underground.

 

A night of disgusting and fascinating debauchery

Dreadfully peculiar if you aren't me

Capricious in nature

This simple addiction has been progressive

As I please.

 

I sway at the rhythm of the phoenix

Get this.

I am a hostile vibration.

Who walks with fire in the eyes and murder

In my mind.

 

Not beyond my turf.

Yet why can't I barely handle the

lunatics?

Impassioned by a deep-seated obsession to glide along the flutter of the fumes

Right at the cradle of my sepulcher.

It is said that the right hemisphere of the brain, controlling left-handedness, is more active in left-handed people. The right hemisphere is also said to be connected, in some instances, to genius and artistic ability. It's also true that many famous people, who were extremely intelligent, were left-handed, including many of the British Royal Family.

According to Dr. McEnvoy, southpaws are more prone to accidents and injuries at work due to the burden of having to use tools and machines that are designed for right-handed people.. Lastly, "Sinister Tendencies" states that murder and violence are higher in places with more lefties. For all these reasons, lefties tend to die an average of nine years earlier than the rest of the population.

Intelligent, creative, mentally sensitive, and reckless, the stereotypical traits of a lefty are both positive and negative. And the question remains: is being left handed a curse of a blessing? Whatever the answer, it is best of southpaws to be aware of what makes them unique.

Left handed people are three times more likely than right handed people to become alcoholics and scientists speculate that it is because the right hemisphere of the brain has a lower tolerance for alcohol then the left side of the brain.

Left handed people tend to be more likely to be on the extreme ends of the intelligence scale then right handed people. Left handed people tend to have a higher portions of mentally retarded people and they also have a higher tendency to be people with high IQ"S. Left handed people who have higher I.Q.s tend to have an I.Q. of over 140.

Early Beliefs and Meanings
Left handedness has long been given a bum rap. The Holy Bible speaks of "sitting at the right hand of God the Father." A little known fact about left handers is that, during the witch trials of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, being prone to use this hand was another "sure" sign of being a witch, devil or other type of evildoer. The English word "sinister" originated from the Latin word "sinistra". "Sinistra" means "left." The German word for "left", as in left handers, is "linke." "Linkisch" is defined as being "awkward or clumsy." The Italian word for "left" is "sinistro/a." What's the definition of "sinister"? "Suggesting or threatening evil", according to Answers.com. If you have Sinistrophobia, you have a fear of things that are to the left. And the list goes on and on.

The Way We Use Our Brains
On a more positive note, right handed people use the left side of their brains. Left handed people use the right sides of their brains. Therefore, as the old joke goes, "Only left handed people are in their right minds." All kidding aside, a little known fact about left handers is that they are "considerably more intellectually gifted", according to studies performed by Dr. Alan Searleman of the St. Lawrence University in New York. "Geniuses" are those among us who have an IQ (Intelligence Quotient) of more than 140. Did you know there is a large percentage of left handed geniuses, as opposed to right handers?

When it comes to creativity, left handers tend to choose more imaginative professions such as writing, music and art.

Another interesting fact about left handers is they are more likely to be males. Males are one-and-a-half-times more likely to be southpaws than females.

Lefthanders Unite
Even though us left handers are forced to live in a right-handed world, it does help to know there's an organization called "Lefthanders International" we can belong to. A little known fact about left handers is that August 13th has been designated as being "their day". The first "International Left Hander's Day" was celebrated on August 13, 1976.

I love being left-handed.. it makes me more distinctive..

On my way home last night, my filthy footsies brought me to the shhh-pirated DVD avenue of Quiapo. Gut-instinct-hunch… whatever you call it!

After two years of scouring el cheapo video stores and bangketas for Breakfast at Tiffany’s and other Audrey Hepburn films… Voila! I finally got one!

I don’t know what’s with Breakfast at Tiffany’s or the whole Audrey Hepburn thing. Can’t explain. I am simply fascinated. Period.  Errrr.. maybe because of her staple elegant little black dress, chic smoke machine air, Holly Golightly natural grace … Ahhh I just love her!

Done are the days of googling Breakfast at Tiffany’s videos in youtube hahaha. I got to watch it upon waking up (i ended up late for my day job). It was great! I was like teleported to NYC at 1961. I basically new the story thru readings and all but watching it in my player (where I can do a little replays if the scene is pretty interesting). Rating? 8.5/10. Hey, make that 8.8/10, George Peppard  was dazzling! (Paul Varjak definitely knows how to discipline a queen. Now that’s sexy!)

I’m thrilled to experience a Roman Holiday when I get home. Ms. Hepburn bagged an Oscar Best Actress Award for this movie in the 1950’s.

In 1994, the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund, a non-profit organization, was created in New York to continue Audrey's international appeals on behalf of ill-treated and suffering children around the world.

November 4, 2006- Audrey Hepburn received the Lifetime Humanitarian Rose Award at a gala held at Kensington Palace in London, England. The honor was given by the People's Princess Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in memory or Princess Diana, whose mission is to raise funds for charities around the world using the Princess' collection of dresses it owns. Each year, the PPCF recognizes, "extraordinary individuals."

 

The long and lasting bond between Audrey Hepburn and Salvatore Ferragamo began in 1954 when she visited him for the first time in Florence, Italy to be fitted for shoes. After showing his latest creations, Ferragamo took the measurements of Audrey's feet and made the wooden lasts from which he would create numerous styles. The footwear Ferragamo created for Audrey over the years were featured in her movies and became a distinctive element of her style. 1988- Audrey becomes UNICEF's Goodwill Ambassador.

1989- Receives Golden Globe - Cecil B. DeMille Award

Audrey dies on January 20 at her home in Tolochenaz, Switzerland.

Additionally, Audrey Hepburn received over fifty other awards and international distinctions for her work in film and later for her humanitarian efforts on behalf of children everywhere.

Twenty new digital films will compete in the 2008 Cinemalaya Independent film Festival and Competition from July 11 to 20 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. This year's theme has the tagline, "Anong Kwento Mo?" This ad campaign conveys the message that Filipinos everywhere have interesting stories to tell, especially Filipino independent filmmakers. I am appealing to you because I know you care about our fellow Filipinos who are victims of super typhoon ‘Frank’ in Aklan. I would like to give you this opportunity to help the deprived in this crisis.

I am a part of SAGIP AKLAN, a newly organized group of Aklanon students and professionals staying in Manila which aspires to aid relief to our kasimanwas.

Super typhoon ‘Frank’ left our province with flustered locals. There is grave shortage of food supply and potable water. A lot are still missing and death toll is expected to arise in the days to come.  Mudflows have displaced thousand of families. DOH announced that there is a disease outbreak in the province. Unfortunately, hospitals are not capable to give the needed treatment since the hospitals are ruined and medicine supplies are running low. It also caused our province a massive damage to crops and infrastructures, the province’s main source of living. Electricity is still cut off resulting to problem of reaching out for help to affected areas.

In behalf of the Aklanons, I am knocking to your good hearts to extend your help by throwing-in your donations to SAGIP AKLAN. Assistance may come in canned goods, bottled water, noodles, clothes, candles, medicine and its equivalent will be much appreciated. The relief goods from your group will be collected in on Fridays and will be sent to Aklan on Mondays. 

The whole province is grappling with hunger, thirst, deaths, injuries, and huge property losses. Be a blessing! Show others the love and care they badly need in this terrible condition.

Please please do coordinate with me on how to unleash that Superhero in you!
